Navigating Khan Academy
Jul 29, 2025Hey y'all! In this video, we show how to access the Course Mastery Challenge on Khan Academy for Algebra 1. The Course Mastery option is like the Course Challenge option, but MUCH shorter. The Course Challenge is like a 30 question final exam of a class, whereas the Mastery Challenge is the 8 question (mas o menos) version of the Course Challenge.
To get to where I am at the start of the video, you can go to Khan Academy's main website, then go to the drop down menu at the top left. From there, under math, Algebra 1 will be located. Once you have gotten to the main page for Algebra 1, you will be at the same place as myself at the start of the video.
Both the Mastery Challenge and the Course Challenge level up skills quickly, and can be a great way to refresh several skills without needing to take individual practices. I just show the steps to get the answer for number 1, which happened to be a question on finding the slope of a line through two given points.
It didn't specify which form, so I left the final answer in Point-Slope form. One thing I did not mention until I stopped filming though- the answer already had the y= part filled in, so we would need to subtract two from both sides to get the answer. I still did not distribute the slope though- and Khan Academy accepted that answer.
